Riddle me this...
Three people go to lunch. The bill comes to $30. They each put in $10. The waiter is told by the cashier the bill is only $25 dollars. He gets five $1 bills. He realizes he can't split $5 3 ways. He pockets $2 and gives the people $1 each. So the people have each paid $9 for a total of $27 dollars and the waiter has $2 in his pocket. Where is the other dollar?

WELLLLLL?????????????
If the bill was $25, that means each person really only owed $8.33. So if they were given back $9 each, they each got an extra 33 cents, which eaquals your missing dollar.

The bill was $30.00, but really only $25.00.
The waiter gets 5 one dollar bills ($5.00)
$1 to each patron= $3.00 plus
$2 to himself equals $5.00
Strange, I don't see an extra dollar.
