A super busy weekend

We went down to N.C. for the weekend and had a total blast. We went to the beach and eli had so much fun battling the waves. There were hurricanes this week down south so we got the big waves as a result.

Some kids bring their moms flowers...some kids bring seaweed.

I got these tiny flip flops at baby gap. Aren't they so cute?
Gabriel wasn't really into this whole super sunny, gritty sand thing so I wrapped him up and put on sunglasses so the light didn't but him so much. That is my t-shirt by the way.
Eli's first shell of the year!
I had this utterly brilliant idea of taking a picture through my sunglasses but what I didn't realize is that my arms aren't log enough to stretch beyond my lens to put the glasses out there so I tried really really hard, thats why its crooked. Can you see my boys playing?

We went deep sea fishing. I wasn't really into it so naturally I just took pictures of everyone.
This is the ver first time brian has EVER caught a fish!!!! He was so excited he just had to kiss the fish. He had to throw it back because it was too little but he was so proud!
When we were getting ready to go the first mate ran around and put a pile of squid next to every fishing pole. This was bait, not for calamari but every time I looked at it, I pictured it fried and on a plate. yum yum.
I was watching everyone in the back through a small window opening in the front of the boat. It looks through the little room where we kept the food. I guess its "below" deck so to speak.
We left at 7am so it was totally beautiful. The sun was just coming up and we had some seriously KICKIN' waves. It was a great time going out to sea.
self explanitory.
This is bob's wife trudy ( I hope I am spelling that right) anyway, I love pictures of sunglasses because you can always see what the person wearing them sees.
Here is trudys little boy.
Some of us got a little bit seasick. Honestly I am a bit disappointed I didnt get some really cool shots of people puking their guts out but brian said it would be tasteless. who made that silly rule?
Leiana was totally awesome. I watched her reel the line and put it back out effortlessly. She listened to the instructions of the first mate and did really well. She is super smart.
This is from 'inside' the little room where the food was, we hit some pretty good waves while I was in there, I got thrown around a little bit.

More sunglasses, but these are eddies. :)
Tony and Bruce
Amy and Eddie. Aren't they a cute couple? Yeah they have been married for like a billion years and have 4 super handsome boys.
The head honcho.
Once vicki got over her sea sickness she wanted a picture of herself. What you don't see is the columbian drug lords close on our tail!
what the?
Amy's boy Tyler. She tried to convince me this is the SAME tyler that I used to hold as a baby. Yeah like I fell for that!

Once when Eric and I went deep sea fishing they put a container of minnows on the seats. I forgot mine was there and sat on it. I had minnow carcasses all over my butt. It was really funny but also really disgusting. LOL!!!

The pictures of your trip are great. Those little flip flops are precious.

Looks like it was an amazing weekend. We just got back from the Outer Banks this weekend and had a blast. North Carolina is so much fun. You guys are going to be so lucky to be close to the beach.
